Terms and Conditions of Fuel Up and Sweep with MyDebit.
Organisers:
“FUEL UP AND SWEEP with MyDebit” (“Contest”) is jointly organized by Petron Fuel International Sdn Bhd (Company No.: 196101000489(4527-V)) (Petron) and Payments Network Malaysia Sdn Bhd (Company No.:200801035403 (836743-D)) (PayNet). (Both Petron and PayNet shall be collectively referred to as “The Organisers”).
Eligibility:
1. This Contest is open to all MyDebit Automated Teller Machine [“ATM”] card members issued by MyDebit financial institution in Malaysia, Petron Miles Privilege Card members, and Petron Mobile App members, aged eighteen (18) years old and above (“Contestants”), subject to the following Terms and Conditions. This Contest is not open to Fleet Card and Diesel Discount Card members. All transactions for the purpose of this Contest must be paid with an ATM Mydebit card to be considered as a valid entry.
2. The Contestants must also have a valid account with any of the issuing banks and the account must be active with a good financial standing and not be dormant during the entire Contest Period until the completion of the redemption of prizes.
3. The following categories of Contestants are NOT ELIGIBLE to participate in this Contest:
a. Permanent/Contract Employees of the Organisers and/or its Affiliates;
b. Petron’s service station dealers;
c. Employees or representatives of advertising and promotional agencies for the Organisers
and/or its Affiliates (hereinafter collectively referred to as “Non-Eligible Contestants”); and
d. The immediate family members (father, mother, spouses and children) of the Non-Eligible
Contestants are also not permitted to participate in the Contest.
For avoidance of doubt, Affiliates are defined as any entity or body corporate that directly or indirectly controls, is controlled by or is under common control with the Organisers.
Contest Period & Entry Criteria:
The Contest Period will run from 1 September 2023 to 30 November 2023 both dates are inclusive (“Contest Period”). Any entries received beyond the Contest Period will be rejected and deemed invalid.
To join this Contest, the Contestants must purchase a cumulative of RM50 worth of eligible Petron fuel products - Blaze 95, Blaze 97, and Blaze 100 only (excluding Diesel) MyDebit ATM card purchases, at any participating Petron service stations. All purchases must be paid with MyDebit ATM card swiped with a validly registered Petron Miles Privilege Card for Contestants to be entitled to participate in the Contest.
4. An accumulative purchase of RM50 and above at any Petron station in Malaysia (for fuel purchases only) with the usage of MyDebit ATM card as the mode of payment made within the stipulated Contest Period (with a clearly printed transaction slip) is entitled to be accepted as a valid entry [“Proof of Purchase”]. The Contestant who is selected as a winner [“Winner”] is required to submit their Proof of Purchase before the redemption/fulfillment of the prize can be completed. Failure to do so would result in the cancellation of the prize(s) won by the Contestant.
5. The Contestant may send more than ONE (1) entry. Each transaction slip can only be used once. Contestants’ entries will be immediately disqualified if the same transaction slip is used for more than ONE (1) entry.
6. The Proof of Purchase must be submitted within the Contest Period via any of the methods stated in Clause 10 (‘How to Participate’).
7. No contest forms are required. The Contestants are deemed eligible to participate in the Contest as long they are in compliance with all Terms and Conditions stated herein. By being eligible and hence participating in the Contest, each Contestant is deemed to have agreed to adhere to the Terms and Conditions herein, and to be contacted by promotional partners for their marketing activities.
8. If Petron Miles Privilege Card is not swiped to earn loyalty points, and/or purchase does not meet the required criteria, the entry will be deemed invalid.
9. The Shortlisted Contestant(s) will be contacted either by the Organisers or its appointed representative via phone (the telephone number as available in the Petron Miles database) and is required to answer one (1) Contest question correctly to be qualified as a winner. In the event a Shortlisted Contestant is unreachable via phone, the Organisers hereby reserves the right to select another Shortlisted Contestant.
How to Participate
10. Each entry must be accompanied by a Proof of Purchase made during the Contest Period and must be submitted in any of the following ways.
a. How to Participate (1): via WhatsApp
o Submit your entry via WhatsApp application to +6019 930 9305 in the following format:

The Contestant will receive a reply message with a URL link to the Contest website for participation via WhatsApp within 48 hours (during working days). The Contestant is required to do the following once it is on the Contest website:
i. Register/login on the Contest website.
ii. Take a photo of the Proof of Purchase.
iii. Answer the Contest question and upload the Proof of Purchase.
iv. RETAIN: Proof of Purchase (Original).
o The Contestant will receive a reply within 48 hours (on working days) after submission.
o Each valid and complete entry must contain the following information:
i. Contestant’s particulars (as per identification card).
ii. Clear image of the Proof of Purchase.
o By submitting entries in this Contest, the Contestant is deemed to have read and agreed to the privacy notice set forth in this Terms and Conditions.
b. How to Participate (2): via Scanning of QR Code
o Scan the QR code and follow the browser instruction link to the Contest website:
i. Register/login on the Contest website.
ii. Take a photo of the Proof of Purchase.
iii. Answer the Contest question and upload the Proof of Purchase.
iv. RETAIN: Proof of Purchase (Original).
o The Contestant will receive an acknowledgement message within 48 hours (on working days) of submission.
o Each valid and complete entry must contain the following information:
i. Contestant’s particulars (as per identification card).
ii. Clear image of the Proof of Purchase.
11. Any incomplete registrations or incomplete entries submission will be disqualified from the Contest.
12. Each Contestant (if selected as a Winner) is only eligible to win ONE (1) Prize during the Contest Period.
13. Prizes are not exchangeable for cash. The Organisers can replace the prizes with other prizes of the same value at its sole and absolute discretion. To the extent permitted by law, the Organisers, its agencies, affiliates, and sponsors and their representatives shall not be liable for any defects or misuse of the prizes, or to any claims, liabilities, losses, or damages in connection with this Contest.
14. The Contestant is required to provide a valid identification document (Malaysian identification card or passport) during or prior to prize redemption for the winner verification process. Proof of Purchase which is faded or damaged will be deemed invalid and will be disqualified.
Winners Selection
15. The Winner(s) will be selected based on the following process:
o At the end of the Contest Period, eligible Contestant will be shortlisted at random by an automated selection system based on the total number of valid entries /submissions during the entire Contest Period [“Selected Contestant”].
o After the end of Contest Period, the Selected Contestant will be contacted by the Organizer and in the event that the Selected Contestant cannot be contacted after three (3) attempts for three (3) consecutive days (during working hours, Monday to Friday), the Organizer reserves the right to disqualify the Selected Contestant’s eligibility and shall select the next qualified Contestant as the Winner, of which shall be selected at the Organizer’s absolute discretion.
The Contest Prizes
16. Grand Prizes (total sixty (60) winners for the entire Contest Period)
a. A total of 60x Grand Prize Winners will win a chance to participate in the Fuel Up and Sweep for five (5) minutes at selected hypermarkets to sweep up to RM3,000 (“Prize Amount”) worth of groceries.
b. There will be 10x Grand Prize Winners per location (Penang, Klang Valley, Kuantan, Ipoh, Johor Bahru, and Kelantan). Each Winner is allowed to bring three (3) other family members to participate in the hypermarket sweep (“Hypermarket Sweep”). A maximum of TWO (2) carts will be provided for each round of hypermarket sweep.
17. Bonus Reward (total 180 Winners for the entire Contest Period)
a. A total of 180x Winners (30x Winners per location) will win a chance to get an additional RM50 worth of Petron Miles points if the Winners found any of the bonus reward keys during the Hypermarket Sweep.
18. Pre-game on-ground activities (total 3 Winners for the entire Contest Period)
a. A total of 3x Winners will get to win prizes worth RM500 in each pre-game on-ground activities before the Hypermarket Sweep.
19. Monthly Prizes (total 150 Winners for the entire Contest Period)
a. A total of 150x Consolation Monthly Winners will win a RM300 worth of Petron Miles points. There will be 50x Winners will be selected on monthly basis.
20. A total of Three Hundred Ninety-Three (393) Contest Prizes to be won.
21. All images of Contest Prizes shown in any promotional materials, advertisements, publicities, and other materials relating to this Contest are for illustrative purposes only and may not depict the actual prizes.
22. The Contest Prizes are subject to the terms and conditions set by the hypermarket/supplier/brand owner (if applicable). To the extent permitted by law, the Organisers and its agents are not responsible for all liabilities, losses and damages arising from any deferment, cancellation, delay or changes to the Contest Prizes details or any unforeseen circumstances beyond the reasonable control of the Organiser and any act or default by any vendor or third-party supplier.
23. The Organisers shall not be liable for any losses or damages which occur during the prize redemption process.
Conditions applicable on the Hypermarket Sweep day:
24. The Hypermarket Sweep will be held at six (6) different hypermarket outlets located in the states of Selangor, Johor, Pulau Pinang, Perak, Kelantan, and Pahang between 9 to 26 January 2024. There will be ten (10) winners per location. The details on the date, time, and actual location of the hypermarket outlets will be announced by Petron to the Winners at least two (2) weeks in advance before the Hypermarket Sweep day.
25. Each Winner is allowed to bring a maximum of THREE (3) family members to participate in the Hypermarket Sweep day event.
26. Each Winner and their family members will be given maximum of TWO (2) shopping carts/ trolleys to select as many groceries items as possible in the given time. The Winners will begin and end the Hypermarket Sweep at the sound of the horn. Upon hearing the final horn, all the Winners must return to the check-out counter. Any item(s) taken after the horn will be removed from the shopping carts/trolleys.
27. In the event that the total cost of groceries items selected (“Total Amount”) exceeds the Prize Amount, the winner has an option to either pay the difference between the Total Amount and the Prize Amount or to remove selected item(s) from the shopping carts/ trolleys. The Organisers shall not be liable to pay any difference between the Total Amount and Prize Amount for any of the Winners.
28. All winners will be expected to practice due diligence and full liability and responsibility when managing the shopping carts/ trolleys during the Hypermarket Sweep.
29. In the event any of the Winners are unable to attend on the Hypermarket Sweep day, he/she will automatically be disqualified, and no compensation or arrangement will be made after that.
30. The Organisers shall not be held responsible or liable for any loss, damage or injury in any manner whatsoever suffered by the winners as a result of their participation in the Contest and /or use of the groceries item(s).
31. Any dispute in relation to quality or warranty of the groceries item(s) or any terms and conditions in respect thereof shall be settled directly by the winner with the authorized dealer/supplier without any further recourse to the Organisers. The Organisers are not responsible or liable for any breach by respective dealer/supplier in relation to the quality or warranty of the groceries item(s) or any terms and conditions in respect thereof. The Organisers makes no other warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties or conditions of merchantability and that of fitness for a particular purpose of the groceries item(s).
Other Terms & Conditions
32. The names of all Winners will be published on Petron’s website at www.petronmiles.com.my.
33. In the event that any Contest entry or prize will not be awarded to a person who:
a. is not eligible for the Contest; and/or,
b. has committed or is suspected of committing any fraudulent or wrongful acts in relation to his/her use of the Petron Miles Privilege Card.
The Organisers reserve the right to disqualify such person from participating in the Contest and/or from receiving the prize.
34. All Winners recorded by the Organisers shall be final and conclusive.
35. All Winners shall be notified via phone (the telephone number as available in the Petron Miles database).
36. The Organisers reserve the right to postpone the date and change the place/venue for prize redemption that has been determined to a later date or another place/venue in the event of any unforeseen circumstances.
37. All cost, fees and/or expenses incurred or to be incurred by the Winners in relation to the Contest and/or to claim the Prize(s), which shall include but not limited to the cost for transportations, accommodation, meals, personal costs and/or any other costs, are the sole responsibility of the Winners.
38. All contest points will be credited into the respective winner’s account 30-45 working days after Contest Period ends.
39. If for any reason this Contest is unable to proceed as planned for (and not limited) reasons such as computer virus, hacking, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failure, or any other reason beyond control, the Organisers reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to revoke, terminate, modify, or suspend this Contest.
40. The Organisers may at its sole discretion may remove and/or disqualify any Contestant and/or entries if found or suspected of cheating/hacking/tampering with the Contest submission process, the operation of this Contest in violation of any Terms and Conditions of the Contest.
41. The Organisers reserve the right to cancel, shorten, extend, suspend, revoke, or terminate the Contest Period at any time prior to the expiry of the Contest Period without prior notice.
42. The Organisers also reserves the right to vary, modify, delete, or change any of the Terms and Conditions herein contained at any time at its absolute discretion without prior notice. For avoidance of doubt, any cancellation, extension, suspension, or termination of the Contest Period at any time prior to the expiry of the Contest Period shall not entitle the Contestants to claim any compensation from the Organisers for any and all losses or damages suffered or incurred by the Contestants because of the said cancellation, extension, suspension, or termination.
43. The Organisers reserve the right to use the names, addresses, photographs, and testimonies of the Contestants in advertisements and other forms of publicity in conjunction with the Contest. The Contestants' participation in the Contest and agreement to be bound to the terms and conditions herein shall be deemed to indicate their implied consent to such use, without further notice, payment, or consideration whatsoever.
44. By entering the Contest and accepting a prize, all winners must agree that the Organisers have reserved the right to picture, voice record or portray them as contest winners in any manner whatsoever as the Organisers may in its absolute discretion decide, and to exhibit this material for all contest-related advertising, marketing, and publicity purposes without any compensation whatsoever, subject to applicable laws and regulations. The Contestants and eventual Winners of the Contest are hereby notified and deemed to consent to the Organisers’ right to use their name, voice, picture or footage, or the content of their entries solely for the abovementioned purposes.
45. The Organisers reserve the right to substitute the prize(s) with of equal or greater value, if deemed necessary.
46. The Contestants hereby agree to release the Organisers, its directors, officers, employees and agents, including without limitation, its parent companies, subsidiaries, affiliates, employees, agencies and branches, as well as all contest partners / sponsors and all others associated with the development and execution of this Contest, from and against any and all liability for injury, loss or damage of any kind (whether direct, indirect or consequential) to or in any way arising from this Contest and the awarding and the use or misuse or possession of any prizes awarded, including liability for personal injury, death or property damage, except where prohibited or limited by law. All winners acknowledge that to the extent permissible by law, the prizes are awarded by the Organisers on an “as is” basis without any warranty of any kind whether express or implied, including but not limited to the implied warranties of satisfactory quality, and non-infringement.
47. The Contestants shall assume full liability and responsibility for any liability, unexpected event, injury, damage, claim or accident (including death) caused by their participation in this Contest and/or redemption and/or use of the Contest Prizes and agree to release the Organisers and its agencies from any claim whatsoever for any injury, accident, loss of life or loss of economy and others.
48. The Contestants shall fully indemnify and hold harmless the Organisers, its directors, officers, employees, agents and assigns against any and all losses, liabilities, costs, claims, charges, expenses, actions or demands (including legal costs), whether direct or indirect arising out of a breach by him or her of these Terms & Conditions.
49. To the fullest extent permitted by law, in no event shall the Organisers or any of its directors, officers, employees, representatives and/or agents (including any third party agencies that deals with the Organiser for the purposes of this Contest) be liable for any loss or damage (including loss of income, profits or goodwill or indirect damages, incidental, consequential, exemplary, punitive or special damages of any party including third parties) howsoever arising whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise in connection with this Contest, although the Organisers have been advised of the possibility of such damages in advance, and all such damages are expressly excluded.
50. The Organisers would like to alert all Contestants to take reasonable precautions when receiving any phone calls or messages requesting for your personal information(s) during and/or after the Contest. The Organisers would also like to advise our valued Contestants to contact the Organiser for verification regarding the Contest.
51. This Contest and its Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Malaysia and all disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.
52. If for any reason any part of this Contest is incapable of running as planned, the Organisers may in its sole discretion cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the contest, or invalidate any affected entries without any further liability or any obligation to continue the Contest.
53. The invalidity or unenforceability for any reason of any part of these Terms & Conditions shall not prejudice or affect the validity or enforceability of the remaining parts and each part of these Terms & Conditions is always distinct and severable from the rest of the Terms & Conditions.
54. The Organisers will not be responsible or liable for any claims, loss, or damage whatsoever, resulting from or in connection with this Contest or the prizes given out through this Contest.
55. The Organisers are the final authority to decide on the interpretation of these Terms and Conditions and as to any other matters relating to this Contest.
56. All other Petron Miles Terms and Conditions as stated at the website www.petronmiles.com.my or otherwise, shall also apply and bind all Contestants and their participation in this Contest.

Privacy Notice
58. By participating in this Contest, the Contestants agree to give their consent to and authorize to their respective bank(s) to disclose to the Organisers , and authorize the Organisers to collect, store, use, process their names, masked Identification Numbers (IC) and other personal particulars [“Personal Data”] for the purpose of running the Contest, including but not limited to announcing and publishing Personal Data and/or photos of the Contestants at the Organisers’ website for advertising and publicity purposes.
59. By participating in the Contest, the Contestants also give their consent and authorize the Organisers using a third-party service (if applicable) including but not limited to any MyDebit financial institution to process the Contestants’ Personal Data. All such third parties are contractually obliged, not to use the Contestant's Personal Data in any other than way that stated herein.
60. Under the laws of Malaysia, the rights of Contestant includes:
a. The rights to withdraw consent for the use of Personal Data at any time by contacting the Organisers at the contact details mentioned below by providing the Organisers with the Contestant’s name and email address for removal of the said Personal Data.
b. The rights to obtain a copy of the Personal Data which the Organisers hold; and
c. The rights to correct inaccurate Personal Data.
61. The Contestant may refer to the Organiser's website Terms and Conditions at www.petronmiles.com.my or to call the Organiser's Petron Miles Customer Service Centre at 1-300-888-812 Mondays to Fridays, from 9.00am to 5.00pm, and Saturday, 9.00am to 1.00pm for any info pertaining to data protection or legal rights.
62. The Organisers will take reasonable precautions to keep Contestant's Personal Data secure and require third party processors (if any) to do the same. However, the Organisers may disclose the Contestant's Personal Data if required by law, search warrant, subpoena, or court order.
63. Any matter to the Personal Data relating to this Contest shall be governed by and dealt with in the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 and any relevant laws in Malaysia.
